First-Timers Flamengo Move Onto CWC Final

Everyone remembers their first time—especially when it comes to playing in a Club World Cup.

And for Brazilian side Flamengo, their first trip a Club World Cup will come to a close with their place in the final.

Surprising everyone last Tuesday, the Brazilian champions fought back to secure their place in the championship of the tournament. Trailing from behind, Flamengo came back to beat Al Hilal in Doha 3-1.

Awaiting their competitor to be named for the Championship, they’re preparing to either face European champion, Liverpool or Mexican team Monterrey.

To help prepare the country for the 2022 World Cup, the game is set to play in one of the stadiums that are going to be used for the tournament.

For the first-timers, this appearance can not only help set them on the world stage for Brazil, but it can also help rally the country that can carry on into the World Cup.
